Today i watched this movie for the first time i thought it brilliant.
Collins
accurately uses this apocalyptic world as a metaphor for the wars and unjust
happening in the world today. In the
film Katniss Everdeen portrays the martyr, the revolutionist. Who takes a stand
and says NO I will NOT play your games. The film evokes feelings of remorse,
annoyance and of guilt in its audience
the conveyed message says that its wrong and sick for people to sit back and
watch others get slaughtered for entertainment, and yet anybody who’s watched
this movie has done just that. As well
as anyone who has fallen victim to drafts in the war in which mothers loose sons
fathers loose brothers and sons loose fathers. Not to mention that this film is also a accurate representation of what its like to be an immigrant. They are everyday tributes. Men and women with no identities just the district in which they are from seperates them ,each figthing to survive. And yet we sit back and watch. If we had a camera crew filming, would that be enough to stop the madness if we broadcasted how awful such things are and zoomed in on the damage the people would be horrified to find what looks like a massacre. These are the realHunger Games, Happening all around us and yet everbody is left in awe when it is but fiction on film. If everyone would agree to
not allow themselves to succumb to the want of those with corrupt power no one could make them. The Will to
do, still lies within each of us, the day we realize and quit being Pons in their
game “The Man” has lost. May the odds be ever in our favor.
I liked what you said about this topic, it was outspoken.
